Polly – around pylon dusting SLOWLY

Arthur – Supposed - diction

Everyone
Improvement was amazing, but you are not there yet.
It’s an honest show. It tells a story and is believable.
After first song, there is silence.  Begin people noises with queen.
Gut Girls
Girls should be energized every time something different happens in the scenes, whether it is a new person, a person returning, etc.  Something needs to be different with the energy.
Dirt looked like finger dabs. It needs to be swathes of dirt. Maybe not so much so you can get it off.
Polly showed how tired she was throughout show.  Every one needs to do this but at different times. Make it evident it is hard work.
Every new event – every scene must be different because it brings new problems.
We need to see how hard life is for you.
All girls’ legs were too clean.
Annie
React more to smells, sounds sights. You did a great job. We need more. Wipe your forehead and leave dirt in the first scene.
Legs were too clean with meat.
Watch tempo and vocal variety in your monologue – it was almost monotonous.
Men
You were all so much stronger and are equal to the girls’ strength
Priscilla and lady H
Amazing improvement.
More color in faces.  More makeup because  you looked as worn as GG.
Harry
More rubbing, touching Annie.  Make the audience uncomfortable.
WOW WOW WOW – great job in show.
Loved Harry
Scene after Helena
GREAT JOB!  It was funny. Timing was great. Harry was believable in that it seemed he thought he was all that. The contrast with his attitude after finding out they were laughing at his expense was priceless.  Girls were great in reacting and catching on to Ellen.
Kate
I thought that too – present day
Then telling about mom – it needs to be a sad memory.
Lady H
Wonderful.  Move lamp so it doesn’t block your face from stage right audience members. Get rid of rose and vase.
Len
Your best!  You were strong and we could understand you.
Polly
Excellent – loved your breathing and realness.
Dust slowly BEHIND pylon when Ellen is speaking.
Edwin
AMAZING   BUT, the difference in time period, would have you sitting straight when talking about breeding.
Maids
Wonderful !  you do so much to keep the scenes moving.
Priscilla
Great job!  So much improvement.   Do not hold knickers too close to face.
Maids – Bert, Charlie and Len
Find a place where the maids can hand you the gg chairs so you can move them off.  To make it clear that the rich are taking over.
Priscilla arthur
Slap and interaction was great.
Maggie/Edwin
Great last scene. Maggie looked scared. Edwin looked creepy. Lady H looked clueless to what he was doing.
Loved the knife work in the rape scene.  Maggie, watch screechy voice. Edwin, we need to see  your decision to say next time.
Kate Jim
Exit laughing and Kate goes into next scene with a kiss.
All women
Transition from Lady H and Priscilla to GG consoling Maggie didn’t work.  Need people noises with last word said by Priscilla and Lady H.
Songs are hesitant.

We have to see wealthy encroaching. We need people to help painting chains and thinking about how we can do this. Such as a table cloth on bar during last scene with something on it.
Transition didn’t work going into apron scene.
One maid moves chairs and another maid hands aprons and hats to girls as they enter.
SOUND
Annie
Kate
Need chopping into one liners.
Annie say – Good morning madam, my name’s (no tray)
Kate says – Good morning madam, my name’s
Girls see you slowly speaking to your mistresses.
Priscilla Polly
Great mirror scene – Polly, voice went up a little – screeching.
People in striking scene
Movement must be energized.  We need to see you strain.  See bodies strain as well as faces.
Ellen
Last line should be triumphant and not a question.
To do
Chains need to be all gold.
Carpet under barrel
Pads under chairs and metal stuff.
