We need to work on the "th" sounds because a lot of people are saying it with a "v" sound
ReplyDeletethe biggest thing i'm working on is figuring out what energy i need to have for each new scene. Myself along with the other gut girls are trying hard to "listen" better to each other. I know it seems easy to everyone but its actually harder than it looks. with each rehearsal we get more familiar with the lines so it's not fresh information. but nevertheless, we will work on it
ReplyDeletealright y'all, I just relized on sunday how close we actually are. look at where we are and ask yourself "are we where we need to be?" and "how can I help get us to the next level?" I'm so incredibly proud of all of us, but this is still just the beginning. but now is the time that we need to take another step every time we're together. I know it can be hard to focus and I have trouble doing it myself, but it's crunch time right now and we have to give it our all.
ReplyDeleteWe have a lot to improve on and not much time. Not only do we need to work on the play but I feel like we need to get closer as a group. Our lack of chemistry can bring us down. Let's all just have a mutual respect for everyone.
ReplyDeleteWe need to really work on the change in energy when something new happens, but we're getting better at it. Also, I need to work on the second club scene when I am suppposed to be helping the girls put on the aprons and hats because that always becomes awkward and makes it hard for Payton to say her line. Keeping giving 110%, we've really got to work hard and keep improving!
ReplyDeleteKeep the energy and accents up at the end of the play. The energy slows down towards the end and it kind of starts to drag. Kylie, great job on consonants and pronunciation! Maggie make sure not say "v".
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to keep energy since we have been doing it for so long but try to have a lot of energy during practice.... drink a red bull !! Eli work on showing your control over Macky without being physical. We might need a little work on slow motion scene where rich overtakes poor, and contrast it more. Len be more affectionate toward Maggie and foreshadow the way Maggie will use your puppy love to not live on the streets at the end of the play. I need to make sure my sound is easy to hear, and work on my lighting during the lantern scene. Collin good job on your lights keep up the good work. Spencer great job handling everyone without the help of another stage member. Lady H shows her power in society very good. Don good job but maybe show your creepiness leave lady h and move on to Maggie more. Overall great job everyone !
ReplyDeletei know it feels like we've been rehearsing and going to clinics a lot the past 2 weeks, but instead of getting bored of the play we need to let it fuel us each rehearsal. each rehearsal we should try a little something new, wether it's the way you react to a scene or the way you say a certain line
ReplyDeleteI think we have really improved on our accents!! I know it's still pretty difficult to understand me at times, so I am really working on my diction and hitting my consonants! But i think we are improving greatly!!
ReplyDeletewe're doing really great and we're almost there, we've just got to keep pushing and getting better. i know the practices start to seem repetitive, but we have to push through and work to get better in every scene. if we want to go far that's what it's gonna take!
ReplyDeleteI am going to see my vision of the future and having a toy shop and use my emotions example:Smiling.
ReplyDeleteI will work every line and fine out the best way to say it with constants and diction. I they can't hear out lines, they can't judge our show. I understand why we are always being told that critique
ReplyDelete"Good better best, never let it rest. Until your good is better and your better is best."
ReplyDeleteEveryone is doing good but there is always room for improvement. Sell your soul to OAP. Goodluck in district everyone.. <3 y'all
Hopefully contest goes well. We worked on a lot and it keeps getting better and better. Be as good as you can be and never less. The one thing everyone needs to work on is making sure the play is understandable. Other than that we will be rockin!
